To encourage faculty and staff union members of Ho Chi Minh City Open University (HCMCOU) to participate in community service activities, uphold the spirit of gratitude, and honour families who contributed to the revolution, the Youth Union of Faculty and Staff, along with the Youth Union of Lecturers, organized the Spring of Love 2025 program. This initiative coincided with the Ất Tỵ Lunar New Year and celebrated the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (Feb 3rd, 1930 - Feb 3rd, 2025).
Marking the Spread of Compassion
The program took place on December 29, 2024, and January 19, 2025, featuring various meaningful activities aimed at promoting the compassionate and community-driven image of HCMCOU’s faculty and staff.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the delegation visited and presented gifts to Long Hoa Shelter and charity classes in District 7. These gifts, along with words of encouragement and empathy, brought joy and motivation to underprivileged children.

In Tiền Giang Province, the program continued its mission by visiting and offering gifts to policy beneficiary families in difficult circumstances in Tân Hòa Đông Commune. These visits not only provided material support but also served as a source of spiritual encouragement, helping these families overcome life’s challenges.
Spreading Love and Gratitude
Beyond community service, the program was also an opportunity to pay tribute to and remember the sacrifices of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and policy-beneficiary families - those who dedicated their youth to the nation. By doing so, it reinforced the traditional "When drinking water, remember its source" values and highlighted the importance of ethical living in modern society.
