On the morning of January 5, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City Open University solemnly held the Opening Ceremony for the Bachelor's/Engineer Program for Distance Learning Online Course 04/2024, and the Signing Ceremony with Hai Phong Continuing Education Center and Dr. Data Technology Co., Ltd. at Hall 602, Vo Van Tan Campus with live broadcasting on the Zoom platform.

Representing Ho Chi Minh City Open University were: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha – President; along with esteemed faculty members who are leaders of various departments, and a large number of students enrolled in the online program.

In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha – President of the University, extended his congratulations to the new students and emphasized: "Online learning offers convenience and flexibility, but to achieve good results, students need to cultivate self-discipline and a strong sense of commitment in their studies. Therefore, from the very beginning, students should set clear goals and establish an ideal learning environment. When encountering difficulties during the learning process, do not hesitate to reach out to instructors, academic advisors, and other departments to receive timely support."

Since 2016, the Center for E-Learning has trained over 20,000 learners across 17 disciplines, including Information Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Marketing, International Business, Tourism, English Language, Chinese Language, Accounting, Auditing, Finance – Banking, Law, Economic Law, Sociology, and Southeast Asian Studies. Additionally, the Center has implemented short-term online courses, such as Korean communication and Vietnamese for foreigners, to meet the diverse learning needs of society.
Within the program's framework, Ho Chi Minh City Open University organized a signing ceremony to collaborate with Hai Phong Continuing Education Center and Dr. Data Technology Co., Ltd., marking an important step in developing the nation's human resources.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Le Quoc Hoa – Technology Director of Dr. Data Technology Co., Ltd., shared that as a company operating in the technology sector, particularly focusing on data analysis and visualization solutions, they help businesses and organizations identify trends, patterns, and outliers, thereby quickly deriving in-depth insights and making better decisions. Accordingly, Dr. Data will actively collaborate with the University to develop training courses in technology and data analysis, contributing to the training and development of human resources in the era of digital transformation. Additionally, the company will develop short-term online courses to supplement the Vietnam Massive Open Online Courses (VMOOCs) platform, providing practical and accessible knowledge to the community.

On behalf of Hai Phong Continuing Education Center, the two entities have identified each other as partners in promoting and enhancing their image, as well as disseminating information about the programs offered by Ho Chi Minh City Open University to a large number of learners in the local area in particular, and in the northern region in general. This collaboration aims to provide flexible, convenient, and effective access to higher education through online bachelor's/engineering programs, focusing on disciplines such as Human Resource Management, Marketing, International Business, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Sociology, Tourism, Auditing, and Southeast Asian Studies.
Following the opening ceremony, new students were guided on regulations, study plans, and how to use the online platform, and had the opportunity to meet with faculty leaders and instructors. These activities equipped students with the necessary knowledge and skills, helping them adapt and study effectively in the online learning environment.
