On the morning of April 1, 2025, at Hotel Nikko Saigon (235 Nguyen Van Cu, District 1), Ho Chi Minh City Open University signed a cooperation agreement with Hotel Nikko Saigon. This event continues the university’s series of partnership initiatives with businesses, aiming to enhance student internship and employment opportunities while improving training quality.
Attending the event on behalf of Ho Chi Minh City Open University were Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang – Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Hoang Sinh – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; Mr. Ho Thanh Son – Deputy Head of Student Affairs & Communications Office, along with faculty members and staff from the Business Administration faculty.
Representing Hotel Nikko Saigon were General Manager Mr. Dawson Tan and departmental leaders who participated in discussions regarding the partnership’s content.
In the context of the rapidly growing hospitality and tourism industry, which continues to play a significant role in Vietnam’s economy, the university has identified close collaboration with leading enterprises in the field as a strategic priority to elevate training quality.
In his remarks, Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang, Vice President, emphasized the importance of linking academic training with real-world business practice. He noted that this agreement marks not just a starting point but a strong foundation for long-term collaboration between the two parties. The university hopes to work with Hotel Nikko Saigon on a wide range of activities—from specialized seminars and international conferences to collaborative projects—not only in education but also in other mutually beneficial areas.
Mr. Dawson Tan, representing Hotel Nikko Saigon, shared the hotel’s development philosophy, which places strong emphasis on human capital. He expressed his hope that this partnership would contribute to the development of high-quality human resources, and he praised the potential of young talents from Ho Chi Minh City Open University.

The Faculty of Business Administration at Ho Chi Minh City Open University, with over 30 years of development, has become one of the leading institutions for business and management education in Southern Vietnam. Its curriculum is continuously updated to meet international standards and is closely aligned with practical needs. Each year, the faculty produces around 600 full-time graduates, 3,000 distance learners, and 500 part-time students, with an employment rate of over 90% after graduation.
The event successfully expanded the university’s business partnership network nationwide. Moving forward, the university will continue to strengthen ties with reputable enterprises to further enhance training quality and provide the labor market with highly skilled human resources.
